TASK

Magna Powertrain is a global leader in the development, integration and industrialization of innovative, efficient and cost-effective all-wheel and 4x4 systems. The company's etelligentDrive systems offer solutions for tomorrow's electromobility requirements. The leading powertrain applications support future market requirements in terms of safety, performance, CO2 reduction and global platform strategy concepts for automakers. Due to the breakdown of traditional trade show operations in the pandemic, new methods for lead generation had to be found. The biggest challenge is that the target group in the B2B sector is very small and pointed and employees from purchasing, sales, engineering, product development and the management of OEMs (vehicle manufacturers) worldwide were to be addressed.


Straight to the point


In order to guide the target group to customized product landing pages, a targeted online customer approach for the new product series took place through "targeted advertising" via LinkedIn image and video ads as well as Google search ads. The landing pages provided a variety of content and additional information on Magna Powertrain Electrification: Technical papers, webinars also technical animations. They were designed to invite the user to engage with the new product series. The download of the extensive content was only possible via a form - by disclosing personal data therefore qualified leads were generated for the available products.

Digital content - success through relevance

The ads and videos were played out digitally with customer-centric content in various social media channels to specifically address the target group. The results of the online-only advertising presence were impressive: 5.7 million ad impressions, about 80,000 ad clicks as a result, and again, about 900 users who provided their data to download the content.

Outstanding performance - multiple awards

The successful project "Magna Powertrain Electrification" won silver in the category Web Campaign & Crossmedia Campaign at the Annual Multimedia Award 2023. The production convinced the top-class jury in Berlin, who award excellent digital projects and outstanding work with the Annual Multimedia Award. The awards document state-of-the-art trends in digital communication and creation.


The project also won silver at the Best of International Award 2022, which is presented by the E3 Agency Network, one of the largest international networks of independent marketing communication agencies focusing on international business. These awards honor international productions by participating agencies. SPS-MARKETING has been cooperating  
with the E3 Agency Network for many years and can therefore serve its clients almost worldwide, including in markets such as China or the USA.

The pointedly tailored target group required very precise communication. In this context, providing deep dive content was important to be able to generate qualified leads. The good results speak for themselves.
