PROJECT SCOPE

A positioning workshop, strategic orientation, and support of the product launch with a key visual, logo design, signet and claim, a product brochure, a search engine-optimized website, and product design.


REQUIREMENTS

MO-PET, a machine manufacturer from Leonding, was planning a product launch for its newly developed mobile plastic shredder, which shreds PET bottles and aluminum cans. The MO-PET product, constructed by experienced engineers and mechanical engineers, is produced regionally and is particularly robust and reliable. End consumers can dispose of their bottles and cans directly after use by throwing them in, thus taking the first step in the recycling process. The goal was to create a communication strategy and appearance for the market launch that emphasized the advantages of the plastic shredder, and particularly its environmental friendliness. This was to be communicated through modern product design, a product brochure and a website for brand building.


SOLUTION

The PET shredder features a very powerful drive and is equipped with a special cutting mechanism that compresses standard disposable PET bottles and aluminum cans into small flakes directly on site in a matter of seconds. The cutting mechanism was the driving force behind the development of the logo design: the brand logo is derived from the shredding unit of the device. The key visual alludes to the power in the drive and depicts a powerful predator with sharp teeth, epitomizing the strong technology and high efficiency of the technology. The claim "MO-PET ZERKLEINERT GROSSARTIG" (MO-PET shreds brilliantly) supports the brand design and succinctly summarizes these benefits.

BENEFITS

In the development of the product brochure as well as the website, the focus was on the product benefits. Because: Recycling starts with disposal! The enormous reduction in the volume of empty packaging and the conservation of resources through the circular economy avoid CO₂ emissions and achieve a better eco-balance. The use of intelligent visuals illustrates these benefits concisely in the product folder and on the website: Before-and-after comparisons show PET bottles and compressed flakes, which now make up only a fraction of the actual volume. The easy-to-understand illustrations explain the PET shredder and the solutions in a clear and uncomplicated way.
